Cosplay - a creative community united in its love of costume, heroes, anti-heroes and generally dressing up. Cosplayers are a warm, generous group with a strong sense of theatre. These images are a selection from a series exploring the community and the popular characters regularly portrayed at local and national conventions. Costumes are often made by hand, often over many months with great attention to detail.
